My Ghostly Encounter

My Ghostly Encounter, My first encounter with the paranormal happened when I was just a child.

Our Family moved into what we thought was a beautiful two story apartment. The apartment was part of a house that had been sectioned off into three parts. Ours being the only one with a second floor. My brother and I felt somewhat special at the thought of being in the coolest part of this sectioned off home. The living room had a magnificent fireplace with red brick and a wall that was covered in colorful hand prints, like ones you would find at a school house. Thinking about that wall now as an adult, I cant help but wonder why my parents weren't creep-ed out by it .I guess because we liked it so much it made it OK.

The living room ran off into a small kitchen with a tiny island and between the two was the entrance to the staircase to go up to the second story of the home. The second story wasn't much. Too the left sat me and my little brother's room and too the right was my parents'. There was a bathroom in the middle that connected the rooms together (another feature my brother and I thought was really cool).

Everything got kinda crazy the first few weeks we moved in. We would hear someone walking up and down the stairs when no one was on the staircase. Sounds of weeping would seep from upstairs. We had people abruptly leave our house on several occasions. Babysitters never seemed to stick around. One actually being terrified to the point of leaving us there by ones self and running home.

One night will always be with me forever. I am not a psychic by any means. But somehow I was connected with the spirit of this house. I was laying in bed half asleep when I heard crying (again). Instead of ignoring it I called out. That's when the spirit revealed himself to me. A little boy younger than me or my little brother with tears streaming down his cheeks.

"Where's my mommy?" he said so softly.
"I don't know." I replied.
I took the boy by the hand and brought him to my mom thinking she could help him.
"Mom, this little boy cant find his mommy." i told her.
"What little boy baby?" she asked.

And just like that he was gone. I never seen him again. Grown up now I cant help but wonder about him and what actually happened in that house. It has been years since it burnt to the ground.Nothing stands there , It's just an empty lot.
